Based at the exclusive National Sports Centre site at Bisham Abbey, near Marlow and at Henley on Thames, we welcome our customers to a relaxed, safe and fun environment where they can enjoy the beauty of the River Thames and have a great day to remember.
Some experience in boats is preferable, but main thing to have is a great attitude!

PART TIME WATERFRONT ASSISTANTS – Bisham Abbey, Marlow & Henley
Are you looking for a summer job working on the banks of the River Thames?
We are looking for people who have a passion for being outdoors, outgoing and energetic, and who can provide excellent customer service. You will spend a large part of the day interacting with members of the public, as a friendly face for the business. You will be expected to be available throughout the holidays and weekends (including Bank Holidays).
Essential:
- A good level of physical fitness and manual handling skills
- Enjoy working with people
- Be reliable
- An ability to think of your feet
- Enjoy working in the outdoors
Desirable:
- Hold a current First Aid Certificate
- Hold a Paddlesports Coach Qualification

SITE MANAGER – Bisham Abbey, Marlow & Henley Operations
The role of all of our staff is to ensure that our customers have a fun and safe experience when they visit us.
For 2024 our Site Manager will be expected to manage our two sites – Marlow and Henley and help manage the smooth operating of the renting of our canoes, kayaks and stand up paddle boards and our electric motor boats. The role includes managing staff.
Start date June to Mid September.
Boat Rental Thames is based at the magnificent site at Bisham Abbey, near Marlow. With free parking and away from the crowds, our customers can enjoy a relaxing day in a beautiful part of the world and a quiet part of the River Thames.
We operate various brands, all owned by us, offering different services and experiences.
We rent canoes, kayaks and Paddle Board through Moose Canoe Hire, Electric motor boats at Zen Boat Hire, and the Marlow SUP Centre advises on and sells inflatable Stand Up Paddle Boards. Visiting our site is by prior arrangement.
